Big insurance domain name changes hands.
Lead generation company TZ Insurance Solutions, LLC, also known as Tranzact, appears to have purchased the domain name AutoInsurance.com.
Domain investor P.A. Gordon owned the AutoInsurance.com domain. Nameserver records show that the domain name was apparently leased to OnlineAutoInsurance.com since early 2010.
Tranzact recently acquired OnlineAutoInsurance.com, but a source says the AutoInsurance.com lease may not have been included. Last month the whois record on AutoInsurance.com changed to show that P.A. Gordon no longer owned it — and Tranzact is the new owner. A source says that Tranzact bought the domain from Gordon.
I can’t find any record of the domain sale, but the source with knowledge of the AutoInsurance.com transaction said that Gordon was asking $5 million for the domain, and that he expects the actual price to Tranzact was closer to $10 million.
TZ did not respond to requests for comment.

Yep these guys probably collect 75 to 100 dollars off in total per lead.
Sell 8 leads at 10 bucks a piece and let the sheep compete with each other.
Domainers get a whopping 1 or 2 bucks a click with ppc companies.
Then you have Farmers, progressive, statefarm and the rest, how dumb can you be for not acquiring this name.
It’s like the travel industry all over again for hotels.com, they all had the chance to pick it up yet they decided it was not worth it.
But hey you can always get the .insurance extension—-that would be you allstate and progressive then use auto.insurance LOL
I am sure after testing the name gordon got near 10 million.
