Twitter awarded Twiter.com domain name.
Twitter has won a case with World Intellectual Property Forum over the domain name Twiter.com.
The company filed the complaint back in June against the typo of its popular service. The owner of the domain forwarded it to a “survey” site where the owner was paid after visitors divulged their information and completed offers in the hopes of receiving prizes.
Twitter then dropped and refiled the case in July, most likely because the whois information for the domain name was updated.
The domain name will be transferred to Twitter within 10 days unless the domain owner files a lawsuit to halt the transfer.
Ranbir says
There are many competitors who register domains similar to brand names to get traffic or create similar fake site to gain login credentials.
I think all such domain name must be transferred to the brand owner by law.

I don’t even know why people bother to register trade mark names?. And this squatter was even making money from the typo name?. When will domainers learn not to squat?.
UDRPtalk says
The domain has not yet transferred.
Has a lawsuit been filed?
